Location, you ask? That's pretty general, don't you think? Sure, but location has a lot of different things. At the most general level, many urban condos may be found in the heart of cities. However if you simply break it down further - say within biking or walking distance - urban condos are near bars and restaurants, sports, theaters and other arts, the bus. Unlike some of my suburban friends, I don't have to get when driving to experience almost any cultural or sports event I want.
While my job entails plenty of driving in and out of the city, there are lots of people who choose to live without cars. They could do so because their condo if near the place they work. People who work at home could have to walk down the hallway to access their desks; those who have condos near their office take pleasure in the next best thing. Oftentimes, they can walk to work and avoid problems associated with driving and parking. When they want to return home and have lunch, they have the option. Simultaneously, if they desire to go for happy hour or dinner after work, there probably are multiple options in seconds of their office or their condo.
Another part of condo locations I enjoy is that people often arrived at where I will be. Given my condo is indeed close to the activities people enjoy, they drive in to the city and handle parking. I recently meet them at the restaurant or stadium. So when it's time to head home, I've got a few-minute walk before me, while my pals have to get in their cars and drive not less than a few minutes.
Finally, shopping. As i am not just a big shopper myself, your options within walking distance are nearly endless. There are department stores and chain stores carrying brands of clothing and home ware that everyone would recognize, to small, independent shops where one can get things you can't get elsewhere. If I have to have a last-minute gift for an individual, or have been thinking about the perfect present for months, I more than likely simply have to take a walk to go get it.
As I said earlier in the article, everyone has reasons for living in condos. Even though location tops the list for me, I could go on and on about why I love it. But that's a topic for another day.
